James T. Brems, CPA, Partner founded the Certified Public Accounting firm of James T. Brems, P.C. in November 1994 after twenty years of employment in public accounting firms, the latest of which was Ernst & Young. Jim is responsible for providing tax and estate planning services to businesses and individuals in the local area. He graduated with a BA Accounting degree from Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa. Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also past president of the Cedar Rapids Tax Group and the Cedar Rapids Area Estate Planning Council.

Brian Coller, CPA, CCIFP, partner, has over 23 years of experience in public accounting serving privately-owned businesses with a focus in the construction industry, along with manufacturing, transportation, service, retail and other industries. Brian focuses on delivering advisory and compliance services to clients as well as training and developing professional staff. He has assisted clients with plans for growth, acquisitions, succession, and ownership transitions, as well as developing and improving internal reporting, forecasting, and cash flows.

John Warren, CPA, Partner, is a Rockford, Illinois native. John graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. In 1992, he moved to Canada and worked for Farm Business Consultants, where he did tax work for farmers right at their kitchen table. He returned to Iowa in 2000 and has served as a trusted advisor in public accounting in the area since then. John's focus on delivering value to his clients is well recognized. He has assisted clients in tax and estate planning, acquisitions, succession and in fractional CFO roles.​
